Vraag en Aanbod (literally, "supply and demand") is a 100 year-old weekly newspaper devoted to buying and selling among businesses. Its focus is the construction, metal and light industry trades. Vraag en Aanbod came to Rosetta with a need for an online marketplace where its readers and advertisers could quickly and easily exchange goods and services.

During analysis sessions with the management team it became clear that there were different needs for different advertising customers. Some advertisers prefer self-service and others prefer to book by phone or fax. Rosetta’s solution for Vraag en Aanbod serves both types of customers ... and even lets customers change their mind and switch from full service to self service.

Proxy ads
When Vraag en Aanbod personnel book an online ad for a customer, it’s a proxy ad. The Rosetta system publishes the ad in a plain vanilla format, but it doesn’t stop there. The system automatically emails the ad to the customer. This email message contains upselling options plus the option to take over the ad into a self-service account. So the customer receives automatic confirmation of the booking plus the chance to review, edit or buy an upgrade.
